Tryst Press | Books | The Linoleum Cuts of Ella Smyth Peacock

The Linoleum Cuts of Ella Smyth Peacock is a visual treat for those familiar with plein-air painter Ella Peacock, connoisseurs of Utah or Mormon art, and lino cut enthusiasts who have so far missed the pleasure of being introduced to Ella’s uplifting work.

Commissioned by David Ericson Fine Art, this big beautiful book with its attendant suite of generously-sized framables was prepared, printed, and bound by Tryst Press. It contains all of Ella’s extant linoleum cuts, as well as an engraved portrait of the artist created by her neighbor and friend, Spring City, Utah painter Lee Udall Bennon. Lee also shares a lovely reminiscence about Ella and the friendship that developed between the two women. Gallery owner and proponent of local Utah artists David Ericson contributes additional remarks.
